Whats a good camera to purchase?

• I want to invest in a good camera that takes quality pictures... especially portraits. When I bought my Panisonic Lumix digital camera with 14 mega pixels, I was expecting to have really good looking photos, but I was disapointed to find that my pictures didn't turn out nearly as well as some girls on facebook/tumblr. Their pictures are really good. Do you know what kind of camera gives you beautiful pictures with TOO bulky of a camera?

  That depends entirely on what you want the camera to do and how much you are looking to spend. If what you want is a camera that takes "good" pictures, well just about any camera can do that (including your Lumix). It all depends on what you do with it and what kind of pictures you are trying to take. What you might want to do is consider taking some photography classes to learn what taking a good picture actually means. You local camera store and community education programs probably have some. There are plenty of resources out on the internet too. In the process you may learn what camera will do what you trying to do.
