What do I need for a green screen?

Need a bright camera for green/blue screen, HELP?

  • Hey I need help please. I have a samsung camera thats 10megapixel so its a good camera. My only problem is, I used blue posters for my blue screen , and a big bright green blanket for my green screen. When my camera takes pics,they are very bright its perfect , its just when I wanna take videos for chroma keying , the blue screen and green screen doesnt work as the colours are too dim. How can I fix this ? Please help xx

    You need light on the key color background, and it has to be even across the entire surface. You can use any solution that you can construct, but you have to get light on those backgrounds. If the light is not even, the chromakey won't work properly. You need a couple of diffuse light sources directed at the background.

Overexpose. Increase EV until you get a good separation of the two colors. You can also increase aperture size (lower f/number) if you are in aperture-priority. The same effect can be had if you increased shutter time (larger denominator in fractions of a second) if you are in shutter priority. you can do both in Manual mode if you know what you're doing. Oh wait. Video. I don't know what I'm talking.
