How to make a carbon fiber hood?

Rice Rice baby, why do people make fun of me in my tuned up Honda with my carbon fiber hood?

  • at one time it was cool to be a ricer, back when The Fast and the Furious came out, everyone was driving Import cars, tuned up, bright paint jobs, loud mufflers. Well now it seems like everyone rebeled, they want to start driving muscle cars and saying they are muscle car enthusiast, And then they make fun of me, saying my car is a "ricer" (which means any car made by an Asian because Asians eat rice.) I just dont understand where the jelousy for Ricers grew from. In y 88 honda accord coupe ricer with my loud muffler The other day some redneck was like, Move your damn ricer or im going to plow over it with my pickup truck!! And he had a lifted Pick Up truck.

It's not jealousy it's just a fad that died. Like others said it used to be cool and now people have moved on. Most of the new import "shame" comes from the racer wannabe's doing nothing to their engine and instead putting on useless cosmetic crap then revving at any person who pulls up next to them. Then of course there's the fact auto manufactures have made tons of improvements. In the 1990's and early 2000's a Civic with VTEC was actually considered to be pretty quick. But today even grandma in her stock 275hp turbo Kia will take out all the typical Honda's and their hot-air intakes from a light, thus making every Honda tuner (even the serious ones) a laughing stock. Honda sticking to low-powered Civics doesn't help either, the base models still lack any power. And while they are capable of putting out a stock turbo Civic with lots of power they don't. So while a lot of import manufacturers stick to their little 160hp 4-cylinders they lose those seeking power who turn to muscle cars putting out 300hp N/A stock! The hard truth is a lot of Honda's out there can't even keep up with the first soccer mom and her Suburban they come across willing to race. And that's even after they spend the $1,500 on brand-name performance parts. "saying my car is a "ricer" (which means any car made by an Asian because Asians eat rice.)" That's what the uneducated cling too, it actually means Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancement(s) thus allowing it to be applied to any car. So next time now you can school someone on what the term Rice actually means and how it can apply to any car lol. "In y 88 honda accord coupe ricer with my loud muffler" There's a mistake. You need a real full cat-back exhaust. Not some $40 muffler that only adds noise and no power. These days to get any respect for your Honda you need to just keep in stock and throw your money to engine upgrades only, and do the upgrades the right way. A.k.a. the Sleeper.

ricers r slightly out dated. most of the time, people dont know how to make them cool.. and they mostly sound like an angry bumble bee.... or a fart can. I get the redneck...i can be like that myself... but maybe find ways to make it look or sound better in some way, shape or form...update it, shave door handles, shave badges, make it almost stealth... people are going to poke fun... they r just jealous. I have a Jeep that i have had since i was 16 and i am now 23 and people still make fun of me and say its a POS and its definitely not... it looks good and has over 285,000 miles on that same engine. people are going to be jerks. if you think its cool, dont let anyone tell u any different. hope this helped

"Tuned up" means different things to different people. I personally consider the term "ricer" to be derogatory. I like rice as a food and I'm certainly not Asian. In my opinion, you can blame the "Fast and the Furious" scene for dulling the popularity of an activity you enjoy. It became mainstream, and so an entire segment of society was no longer rebelling - they weren't "cool," - they were just some people who watched a movie and decided to try and make their cars look like that. And that is what the majority of the population in the "tuner craze" did - whatever was cheap and easy. Just as the majority of General Lee knockoffs don't have a high-performance engine under the hood. Feeling a bit Rodney Dangerfield-ish? Blame your fellow tuners who had enough money for a body kit, but not enough money to * paint it. * It's a free country, though. As long as you don't screech up and down my street with your loud muffler, you don't street race, and you're not breaking any local laws, I don't care what you do with your '88 Accord. I'll respect your space, just don't expect me to think that your car is cool unless you have an intercooled turbocharged engine under the hood that makes that little Honda scoot.

You must be hiding under a rock. The import scene is HUGE right now. I see nothing but loud honda's zooming up and down the street all day. Every kid in a high school parking lot has an import weather its STI Or a honda or even a riced out jetta. If I do see any muscle cars its a corvette that's out on a nice day. Pretty much every mustang on the road is a v6. But really when you try to make a old eco car look fast people are gonna laugh at you. Even with a turbo they still need lots of boost to keep up with a modern stock v8. I have a pretty much stock ls1 camaro and today I put almost 8cars on a turboed civic on the highway. I knew it had a turbo because I could hear it. And it still lost. Most import guys are cocky to. No matter what you say to them imports rule and muscle cars suck no matter what. So there also very annoying

The import and modded scene around the world has taken a knock mainly due to so many people over buying silly bodykits and mods and over doing there cars. The term ricer as an insult (not being made in Japan etc but modded wise) can be used to easily my car got called a ricer the other month from a pretend BMW Mini owner(i used to own a 70's mini).Yet i drive an R33 Nissan Skyline and have not done any over the top mods and kept it more JDM spec. Keep going with your car after all i have many trends in the car scene come and go. And glad to hear the scene is still alive in some places.

The import scene is still pretty big out here in the central valley of california. But you are right, muscle cars are coming back out here in the north bay. Me personally I love lowriders and mini trucks, but hey as long as you dont just slap on a loud muffler and brag about 1000 horses youre alright In my book. Ive had friends build some pretty damn nice imports for under 10k and people do hate when you build a civic to have more horses to the wheels than most of their stock stangs.

There is a pathetic aspect to modified Hondas that people ignore. There is a culture of poverty and the cars are just a symptom.Old worn out Hondas are sold off to poor people. The poor try to improve the performance with crisis measures.A motor with worn out piston rings has less compression so it requires higher revs to make power. Most poor slap on intakes and mufflers from ebay and are not sophisticated rebuilders.Where a pyramid is wide at the bottom and the top is narrow Hondas have a wide base of junk and a top featured in magazines. Intakes and mufflers are cheap hollow pipes with the alibi that they are tuned. They are tuned to the budget of a poor person.Asia sells cheap parts made with cheap materials to poor people like the dollar store in the ghetto.Driving an insane washing machine is like your old grandmother who pops every herb and spice pill to feel better.Racing on my street follows the paycheck cycle. When welfare is spent it is quiet and when recharged the noise returns.Self deportation started in Alabama and will spread.A muffler ticket is the opening to demand a birth certificate.

I have a integra and my car was only called a rice burner once. Its because i dont slap funny looking body kits and led lights on my car. And I only go for my engine for parts. Anything i can do to add horsepower i try going for it and make sure its top notch material and not some cheaply made thing. Rednecks just like big motots. Which i not saying its bad or anything. Muscle cars are great when it comes to striaght drag. But when it comes to autocross hondas have them all the way. America doesnt really have good races like other countries. American racing= NASCAR. Which mont of those are monte carlos and other muscle. I see gay *** mustangs with Bigger and gayer spoilers and rims then i see on hondas. Dont let it get to you.
