I really like this guy,we talk on msn all the time,were in the same class,but i cant talk to him face to face?

Okay so it all started when we got paired up to work on this assignment for the day, and i was mostly doing all the talking and he was just smiling and looking at me (he is really shy) then a few days later i realized that i had him on face book so we started talking about homework and tests, and we have been talking for about a month now, I can tell him anything, but that's the thing we haven't talked face to face since the moment we met. And im too nervous to talk to him except for on face book and msn. Whats wrong with this situation?
