This man makes me feel uncomfortable, or am I just being paranoid?

I work in suite a high rise building. I'm familiar with the building staff and they're friendly, for the most part. There is this new engineer who makes me a little uncomfortable. It seems like he goes out of his way to say hi to me and make conversation with me- once he tried to start a conversation with me when I walked halfway into my suite, so I had to stop and chat for a little bit to not seem rude. I'll talk to him briefly, but I can't help but notice he never does this to other female tenants in the building, and other females in my suite confirmed this! My coworkers think maybe he thinks I'm attractive and wants to be my friend, but he just comes on really strong. Thats the best I can describe it. He even asked me, "So what do you like to do for fun?" Which seems to me like a dating question. I just told him I hang out with my "boyfriend" (which I thought would deter him, but it didnt!) and friends. If I catch him on a Monday, he always asks what I did, and I never really tell him, just make up some lie like I didn't do much, and then he says, "what? why don't you do anything?" Which gets me annoyed because its none of his business. I don't come to work to make friends with people I don't even work with. Maybe I'm just being a witch, and being paranoid but he just makes me feel uncomfortable!! It's gotten to a point where I refuse to catch the same elevator with him, I just pretend to be on my phone and wait for the next one because I dont want to talk to him!

Answer:
I read this and think you are being smart. I'm glad to read, also; that you've said something about this to your coworkers. Perhaps you could get one or more of them to be before and after work elevator-buddies, too. There was once a neighbor man whose "hounding" of me irked me to no end. I was so glad when he finally moved to another town. The one good thing that came of it was he helped me write a really hoakie-sounding country song called "You Ain't My Darlin' But I Love You". That dude was just desperate for some attention. Glad he's getting the attention he was seeking elsewhere. LOL Good Luck and God bless you, too.
