How do you fall out of love?

How can I fall out of love with my boyfriend?

• My boyfriend and I have been dating for 8 months now, and he was my first(I was his 2nd, sex-wise). At the start of the relationship we were very much in love, we had some rough points which we got through, but now we're at the edge of the cliff. I don't know how it got to this point, but as he drifted away I became ever more in love with him. Now I'd do anything for him at all, and he's just kinda "eh". He always blames me for things, but as depressed as I am I can't let go. That is not an option so please don't suggest it. He's not right for me, I know that, but just hear me out. I need to fall out of love with him because he said if either of us messes up one more time (even like, me hugging another guy, extreme I know), we're going to take a break. And not break up, just take a break. So I want to know how I can possibly possibly fall out of love with him gradually before this mark meets, because it is inevitable. He is a controlling, manipulative, easily hurt boyfriend. And I hate everything about him, yet I love him oh so very much. So pleeeeeease spare me the pain and depression and tell me how to fall out of love with him gradually so I don't get hurt. Because he just doesn't CARE anymore, so I want to feel the exact.same.way.

  the only way you can get over a person is you have to have your closure first... lay everything out on the table and let him know how you feel it might lead up to a big argument but nothing will ever get better unless you have your closure first
