How long should I wait before I call?

How long is too long to wait for a guy to call you back?

• Ok so I was finally able to meet this guy that my friend was trying to set me up with for awhile (1 year she has been talking about him) and I really liked him. In the short amount of time I got to meet him I felt like my friend did a great job at setting me up with someone whom she has known for some time now. To make a long story very short, he is a very busy man and in a high profile position. We had ended up getting intimate but during the whole night he was doing things that showed me he like me. Things that a normal guy would not do if he was just trying to get some, my friend agreed. She told me he was not the kind of person to just not let you know what was going on, so I should be patient because he is going to call. I am going crazy inside because I just want him to call, because I feel like I cannot call because the last call was mine on the last day I saw him...which was 5 days ago. Should I be more patient?

  I'd probably give it 7 days then just call him back and ask him the usual "how are you doing, what have you been up to" kind of thing. If he doesn't pick up or answer a voicemail as innocent as vague as that I'd say you may have reason to be concerned. But there is nothing wrong with just calling to say hello after not hearing anything in awhile, just wouldn't take it beyond a second call. Best way to feel the situation out in my opinion. Being the Thanksgiving day weekend he should have some spare time. Best of luck.
