What are some things to talk about with your boyfriend?

  • First of all, it's not a new relationship, and we're pretty close so I'm not sure why we can't figure out what to talk about. I've been with him for a year, but whenever we are on the phone we don't have a lot to talk about (in person it's easier for some reason.) Most of our conversations have a lot of awkward silences...well not awkward..just moments where neither of us says anything because there isn't a lot to talk about. Neither of us have particularly eventful lives :/. We usually talk for an hour to two hours and usually our conversations consist of asking each other how our day was, if we're looking forward to this or that, what we think of this teacher, what either of us is doing during the weekend, just random stuff...but lately we've run out of topics and I don't want to repetitive and always talk about the same things. Any ideas?

    Try playing games. Like 20 questions or anything similar. it helps pass time

Talk about anything you're thinking about. Maybe you should be asking him why you've run out of topics rather than asking us here. That would give you enough to talk about for at least one night. Also sometimes when i'm on the phone with my boyfriend we will watch the same movie (on tv or whatever) we talk about our favorite parts or the actors or anything that reminds us of the movie (: sooo anyway GOOD LUCK!!(:

Like your user name, love that song... Early on in a relationship you need to go out and DO things. Go ice skating. Go to a fair. Picnics. Talking is good for a first date to get to know eachother, but hands on dates are great because you can talk about them later!
