Why did Wheres My Refund change?

New info about WHERES MY REFUND?

  • I have a question for anyone who knows this issue of this procedure.Like millions of ppl im still waiting for WHERES MY REFUND to update to tell me about my refund.I was accepted on jan 16th,2011 and as of today it still says its procesing an if no errors my refund will be there on Feb 1,2011.Im cool with that.I have DD. But what i did is i took a chance and found on my return the bank,which is University Bank in Minnesota that handles our refunds.They get the refund from the IRS,then they send it to this place called SBBT who deducts the fees from it for efile,then they send it in for deposit! I called SBBT and they said that National Bank hasnt received the refund yet so they dont have it! So then i called National Bank and asked them why havent they even gotten the refund sent to them yet.I asked them is it unusual for the IRS to wait this long to send the refund to them this close to DD time?They said no,that sometimes they dont receive anything from the IRS until the day the deposit is due.When that happens, WMR dates change. I just think its pretty cool how the sysytem works and why some of out info,like WMR takes so long! Is anyone familiar with this SBBT thing?

I was accepted on the 17th. My status updated last night to say it will be deposited this Friday Jan 28th. I filed with turbo tax again this year. Last year SBBT was telling me they didn't receive my refund yet even after it was in my account, it was deposited the same day the IRS sent it to SBBT.

alright i went through taxact....did my taxes sunday night jan 23rd...12 hours later my refund was accepted, the next day,the 24th, wheres my refund said friday feb 4th for efile...but when i checked it today it said jan 31st! ha! which is indeed a monday so they dont just deposit on fridays......so i get my refund just over 7 days later....which is FAST....but it my case my refund was free, as taxact online has free federal, dunno why you'd pay anything to get your taxes done.....anyway, that's my story, hope you get your refund soon
