Does shoplifting affect my residency card even if i didn't get arrested?

• Im 18 and i got my residency card about a yr and a half ago and they said i couldn't get into any trouble with the cops for 3 yrs.but yesterday idiotic me decided to pull a stunt and got caught shoplifting. So as im leaving the store the lady tells me to stay n the security guard gets there n i give them back what i took. They tell me i have to get my parents to pick me up or ill get arrested, but i wasn't able to contact my parents. So my best friend, who was with me says that she'd take responsibility. They took my name down and my date of birth and they got my friends info as well.They told her she had to pay a $500 fine. My questions are: -Will this give me a record with the police? -Will it affect my residency card even if i didn't get arrested? -Will it affect me getting a job even if i didnt get arrested? -In case i do lose my residency card, will it be a problem to get it again?

  As far as I see, if it is totally a private isolated incident and the 500 dollars fine goes directly to the store, then no it will not give you a record with the police. So no it won't affect your residency or you getting ajob since you techn ically have no official criminal record, unless you apply for a job at that store. If you do lose your residency card for that reason then yea you will probably have to explain it when you reapply.
