What are the rules for boating/sailing around the world?

It seems to me a common idea perpetuated by the biggest powers of the world is that the rules and fundamentals?

  • we live by in today's modern society is the ONLY way there is to progress as a species and be civilized in general. modern civilization im not so sure i believe this concept. i mean there have been countless cultures throughout human history that have been completely erased. i can only wonder how the world would be different had they not been. modern civilization today is ruled by corporate greed, corruption and lies. i think the powers of the world are attempting to spread an illusion that we are heading down the right path and that the citizens under them just need to trust these powers... only for a little while longer. i think people on a wide level are beginning to question the motives of the powers of the world and are challenging them. which is great. people should always question and challenge power, i think that is the best way to ensure their safety from power and prevent tyranny. (im not saying i believe this statement ahead but im not saying i deny it either) i have heard a theory that the worlds most powerful have plans to cause and/ or know about events that will happen that will cause a great portion of the human race to die out. during these events it will appear that power is collapsing and mankind is descending into chaos. then following these events when the numbers of the human race are small and easier to control they will enslave those remaining. (again im not saying i believe this but i don't deny it either... but i do believe it is a possibility) i think mankind is a miracle of the universe and not one that is likely to repeat itself on any other planet. i believe we as a species are bigger than the powers that dictate the way we live our lives. to me it has been proven through out history countless times... powers rise and fall, catastrophes wipe out entire civilizations but we still stand and reinvent a way to live that was better than the past ways and install new rules to live by in order to make our lives better. in a way i believe either the time has come or is beginning to reinvent new ways to make our lives better... ways that i don't think the powers that be want.

In my opinion, you are quite right! The Presidents, Kings, Queens, and Prime Ministers have no better idea(s) of how humans should live, in order to continue on to the future, then meany other intelligent people have. To support this, the fact is, that, in the past, the top most people have made a mess of their administrations. Too much industrialization has been permitted, too little attention paid to the limits imposed by lack of technical advances, and also, too much dependence on fossil fuel, and oil. (And natural gas!). Not enough is known about sustainable agriculture, or fish farming. The same could be said for stiles of governance. (A new stile of governance is urgently needed!)
