What's Wrong with Video Players?

  • I know we've all been in an uproar with this stupid PIPA/SOPA law. It pisses me off how Congress and the gove't are to do everything, but trying to fix the economy now. Normally I watch movies and TV shows online because I don't have a car to go to the movies and I've noticed that several video players are no longer working anymore. Videdoebb is removing all the shows and movies from off their site, Megavideo players don't even show up on my window anymore and other video players are acting the same. Is this because of the stop online piracy act?

    No, this is due to the US Government cracking down on Megaupload and forcing it to close on charges of Copyright Infringment. In fear of the same thing happening to them, some other file-sharing sites are dropping the sharing feature and removing any copyrighted material, like videoebb is apparently doing from what you said. Megavideo was owned by Megaupload, so it's been shut down as well. This is not because of SOPA/PIPA, as the bills have been shelved at this time.
