How can Secretary of Justice Jack Straw justify the pardon of Michael Shields?

Where is your evidence that he is guilty? Jack Straw is in the position to look in depth at these sorts of cases and decide right or wrong, he has decided after looking at every piece of evidence available that the man should be freed, and I for one accept his judgement, why cant you?

Much easier than the Bulgarian authorities can justify his unsafe conviction.

Simple as Jack Straw said about an ethical foreign policy, he means unethical. I do not know the evidence in court that what given against Shields.
