Answer:
The wolverine is one of my favorite animals. I've camped/canoed/hunted/fished in Northern Ontario and Northern Quebec extensively over the past 50 years or so. I have always kept an eye open for wolverines. I have walked through the bush at 5 or 6 a.m. in darkness and I have never, even seem one while walking. I saw one once, it was about 4 in the morning and it ran across the road in front of my car near Minden, Ontario. Getting back to your question - sorry for digressing. You can draw an East/West map from Northern Quebec to the Youkon (that's the southern line. on your map). The Northwest Territories and Nunavut should also be included in your map. Start real far north in the norther edges of the boreal forest. Fraw a line from Nouyn/Noranda Quebec through Red Lake, Ont. through Le Pas and up through northern Saskatchewan pass the line just north of Edmonton then make a 45 degree downward turn to your left and take the line through Kamloops B.C. then straight out to the Pacific. The Northern line on your map should proceed left to right (West to East) above the northern border of the Youkon Territory across the arctic and include the Southern half of Ellesmere Island and down into Northern Quebec being careful not to cross into Labrador. The wolverine has not been seen in Nova Scotia, P.E.I. New Brusnwick, Newfoundland or Labrador since the 1950's. It is extrememly rare to spot one in Ontario or Quebec. I have seen their tracks in the snow and in mud but not their body!

This map you're making, I assume it's a map of the location(s) of the Wolverine? The Wolverine is endangered, yes? So if someone were to....let's say, want to find a Wolverine for the purpose of killing said Wolverine, wouldn't a map of the location(s) of the animal be an ideal resource for this someone? I was going to tell you, but I've decided against for reasons you now know if you've read this far.... Edit: Is it just in the Canada section that people have no sense of humour?
