How can i make it so that i can cruise around on my skateboard like as if it was a longboard?

I'm about to go to USC in the fall and i've already taken my skateboard there so i know how annoying the campus is to go around on a skateboard because of the bricks in the ground and cracks in the road. I also rode a friend's longboard and it felt so smooth over the bricks and cracks and was wondering how i can get that effect on my skateboard. I don't want to waste a lot of money, however, so i don't feel like buying a whole longboard. Is it possible to just put some longboard wheels on my skateboard or is there some soft wheels made specifically with skateboard in mind? Do i have to buy new trucks? What about risers and such? thanks for taking the time to read this, i know it's quite a few questions.

I'm pretty sure ucan just put longboard wheels on but small ones and u may need little plastic spacers that go in-between ur trucks and ur deck

Longboard are super wide and big this is why they roll so soomthly over everything. You can upgrade to high trucks or get 1/4 or 1/2 spacers if you have low trucks and loosen them up a bit and you'd be set.
