What do you have to do to try out for cheerleading?

(Cheerleading question) What should I try out for?

• I'm 12 and I want to try out for my school's cheerleading team this Fall. I tried out for base when I really didn't want to last year and didn't make it,I wanted to try out for top but by looking at everyone who tried out and who made it,they're all so tiny! I'm 95 pounds and want to be a top,but I'm not sure if I'm short enough. I don't mean to be cocky,but I'm not fat,I'm skinny for my age and height,but Idk if I should try out because It might result in my not getting in. They won't allow you try try out for two positions,help?

  Try out for flyer. On my cheer team, our flyers range from 70 to 100 pounds! If you want to be a flyer, you must work for it though. Practice on getting better balance, and work on stronger legs- something ALL cheerleaders need. Honestly, I think you should try out. If you didn't get base, then you must be a flyer. If you really want this, then go for it! I wasn't sure if I wanted to try out for my cheer team, but I did and now I love it and don't regret it... I think you will feel the same way. Go for it! :)
