Do u think MADOFF MADOFF is a GENIUS? a real GENIUS?

Why do a lot of people think they are so special, or genius?

  • No one is humble anymore :( I know people who have gone off to college and automatically think they are a genius at what they do. When I hear or see this people write online, it's makes me so mad. It's not because I don't understand what they are talking about, but I hate when someone thinks they are "special". There are a lot more other people then you, why does everyone need to feel that important? It just really bugs me...

  • Answer:

From the minute we come to this earth, we're taught that we're special by our parents. Then this belief is reinforced by society and the media. You know, slogans like "because you're worth it" and how no one should commit suicide because you're too valuable to lose. And individualism is rampant nowadays. It's all about being yourself. The only problem with this is that if everyone's special, nobody is. Basically, you just have to ignore it. When someone says they're special, they're just repeating something that's been conditioned into their brain so that they'll feel good about themselves. Or, if you're okay with being a jerk, ask them how, exactly, are they special. When they say "I'm an amazing something-or-other", say, "so what? there are tons of something-or-others". You can continue like that for quite a while. But don't listen to them. They have no idea what special is.

I totally understand.. I think its an attention thing. or they're just really self centered. Just try to ignore them!

cuz they suck

How is it that this surprises you? For the past two decades at the very least, people have raised their children to believe that they are special, and perfect, and beautiful, and smart, and so on and so on. When you tell someone that over and over, they really start to believe it. The problem is that nobody is perfect, and the pressure to be perfect causes a lot of harm. I grew up in the 1960's. You were just forced to deal with facts back then. Facts like everyone doesn't make the team...... or you don't always get the girl, or the date, or the prize. Facts like everybody can't cook, or look beautiful, or bench press 300 pounds. These facts were reality, and being taught to accept them was normal and healthy. Even the captain of the football team could have a home without a father, or a mother that drinks too much. Just facts. Not everybody is smart, but some are. Society is shallow, thanks to liberal celebrities that make selfish narcissism look fabulous and glamorous.
