How to start a life alone as a young adult?
-
I am 19 years old and a sophmore in college. I pay for my own tuition and work my *** off 2 jobs to keep at it. This may sound conceited but I believe in my abilities and I am smart, but I am just too lazy (same with every other immature young adult). My grades are a mess from too much working and not enough studying. I am tired of my parents' involvement in my life and their expectations, and its not like they pay for my tuition or apartment. It costs me a lot of loans and money to go to my university and I am thinking of dropping out and start a new life. I've always wanted a normal life instead of everyone telling me to be great. I just need some experienced people to help me with how to start my new life. Right now I have barely 500 dollars saved up because I have to pay tuition and rent, but I figured if I go get a full time job somewhere and start working on a degree or training in fields I'm interested in, I can start building a career. I want the community to base on the facts that I currently have no money, no one to depend on, have the determination and talent to work, and give me advice on how to do this, what I should keep in mind, what I should watch out for, and other things that a young adult like me wouldn't know but should know like paying taxes (I've only paid for everything and separated from my parents this year, so I haven't experience doing taxes yet). Thank you so much for helping me. Also, if it is possible, please give me any specific suggestions(like "this is a good career or job to start on") or suggestions like what cities are better for me to start this life in (I currently live near San Diego in California). One other thing is that I love Canada and if anyone has any advice on how to start this in canada and whether or not its worth it there, please let me know. Once again thank you so much, Yahoo answers community has helped me a lot in the past and helped me mature.

Answer:
Aim for big companies, they tend to pay for education/degrees and also tend to have less sociopaths. If you haven't met a p1rck or sociopath in the workforce yet, you will... and it is not fun.

Move to another state and go to university there. California is terribly expensive.
its hard i know, i moved out here, LA when i turned 18 all by my self from georgia. and that was my new start. now im 21 and its been good and bad, working fluctuates and now that i just graduated school im going to have to pay back my student loans soon. I say try looking for jobs in every field. Most people say you dont end up where you start, so just cause your going to college for whatever major doesnt mean you have to specifically stick to it. Like my major is in fashion design but im going for an interview thurs for a dog rescue non profit org. completely out of range but something id love. just write out things you like and dont like, what you want and cant stand then brainstorm on your next path. and i have a friend who lives in canada i actually met him out and he was just visiting hollywood and he tells me how great canada is compared to america and that its like a parallel country with less nice cars because of the snow but greater living quality as its always been
