Does Target hire full time?

How long will I no longer be eligible for hire at Target?

• When I was 19 I worked in a Starbucks within Target and had to quit abruptly over the phone due to a family emergency. That was over 5 years ago. I recently put in an application for a sales position within the store and received a phone call about an interview. I set up the interview day and time with the hiring manager. Then the store manager called me the day before to tell me my interview was canceled due to me being ineligible for hire. Im not hung up on a job there Im just curious as to how long Target holds its no-hires?

  Did they explain exactly why your history in the starbucks was relevant? Maybe then you'd know the parameters of the situation. Are you sure they didn't simply stop hiring? If they are holding that to you for 5 years, which seems rather strange, perhaps they never will hire you.
