Can I have a job description for officers like in Law and Order?

Is there a better way to keep order then police?

• A lot of police officers are corrupt, bad people....Many have their own agendas and bias' and aren't trying to help people at all...People get taken to jail for no reason all the time, or get shot and killed and I'm so sick of police... My father was a cop and he was very violent, abusive and crazy to me as a child so I can just imagine how he treats other people on the job...Can you think of a better situation to help people/keep people in check that's not police? Or are having police the only real option right now Please no stupid answers saying "You're just writing this because you're mad at your dad" I posted this in the Law section and I got a bunch of rude answers picking that out of the whole paragraph. My father isn't the only bad guy cop... There are cops who stop minorities all the time or cops who shoot people for no reason, or cops who beat up people for no reason. Is there a better way to deal with the law that's not cops? I think they have way too much power

  Honestly, there isn't much of a better option in my opinion. While police have a lot of freedom in their work, they are supervised and I realize that there are a lot of corrupt cops out there, for every one corrupt there's probably around 100 good cops that try to perform their duties, which is to protect and serve. As far as other options, if there were no police out there at all, can you imagine what the world would be like today?? I hope this answers your question.
