What do you need to go on x-box live?

My mum hates video games and the computer. Why does she hate them?

• all right my mum lets me go on video games or the computer for 2 hours a day. Even the weekend. What I want to know is why she does not want me on them. It is never because it is a nice day and I should go outside, or because I have other things to do, it is always around 6 P.M. after I have gone to school done my home work eaten dinner, and gone to Taekwondo she kicks me off around 7 and says she does not care what I do so long as I don't go on games. tell me, what would you have me do instead. Watch T.V??? HOW DIFFRENT IS T.V. FROM YOUTUBE? I don't understand. she says I need to socialize more, but all my friends are at least 30 min away and I have to do things after I get home so I cannot go over there by the time I am done everything, so I see them on the weekends, and during the week go on games and talk to them via Skype or x-box live. I don't understand why should would rather have me not socializing and watch T.V. rather than have me doing something I enjoy, AND be socializing with friends.

  My mom is the same.Same with everybody else.Every mom are like this.Why? Well parents think that the computer is taking away your valuable time and that you can take that time to do like work or do something that involves you doing activity and not sitting around on the computer all day.They feel that computers can make your eye vision worsen.Parents feel that the internet is not safe.Mothers feel that it's bad for your brain and not good for you. They see it as a bad habit and would like it if you would minimize your time on devices.They want you to go out and do something and exercise. I'm not sure if you play violent games or anything,but parents don't like that and discourage you to play it.Even though a little blood parents will take it seriously. I sometimes play for quite a long time,but I play like Minecraft and my parents approve it,since it has no violence and are amused of my creations.... Whenever I played a violent game or even surf through a web or even touch the computer she'd always say this to me. So in conclusion,parents discourage you to be on a computer for a long period of time.
