I just saw something like that on some show on TV... and then they gave the kid a rite of passage, but it was really silly. I can't remember what TV show it was. Did you see it? Anyway, I don't think a rite of passage means anything. Teens are at a disadvantage because of the media abuse that they take, and how horrible our education system is, etc.
