How old do you have to be to work at a mall?

How old do I need to be to work at a store in the mall?

• Im still 14 at the moment but the mall I would probably end up working in would be the roosevelt feild mall up in long island. When I turn 15 would i be able to get a job there just working in one of the stores? Or by NY Law would I still be too young. I know somebody my age who works at a mcdonalds, so I don't know if it would be the same when it comes to me being employable at the age of 15. would I be? PS. It's in society & culture because nobodys really answering questions in the other categories that have to do with this, and it does technically have to do with society...

  Usually 16 and up depending on store. Fashion stores vary but usually 16 and up but they perfer somebody older,and I really dnt understand why .I think its good when younger ppl decide on their own to work.so congrats on tha and goood luck:)
