Which job will be easier to get?

• This new store, Forever 21, a women's clothing store, is going to open in my local mall. They are hiring people. They are doing open interviews for Sales Associates and Housekeepers. I can only apply for one position. I want to apply for the one that will maximize my chance of success. I imagine that sales associate is a much more popular job and there will be more competition....... But: on the same token, there's probably more openings for them. Doesn't the store employ a lot more sales associates than housekeepers? So what do you think.....which job would be easier to get?

  The competition will be stiffer for the Sales Associate position; however, it's a more common position for a retail outlet and they may be more ready to hire you if you apply for that position. Housekeepers would be less sought out, but it will also be a position that less people would want to apply or commit to. I say apply for the Sales Associate position first (since the competition is tougher and you shouldn't wait on it) and do the interview. If you aren't selected for that position, come back for the Housekeeper position. PS: Insurance companies are always employing people for insurance agents/sales associate positions. If you are interested, I recommend you get your Property, Casualty and Life Insurance licenses (fees for those vary state to state) on your OWN (not through the employer, but that option is available). I say do this only if you are really like sales, have a strong background in sales, or is desperate for employment because not everyone likes Insurance sales.
