What's a good job in civil service?

I cant seem to get a job...my student loans are due to be repaid, is suicide my only option?

  • I stupidly though that a degree would help me be more employable or at least get a menial mind numbing job, but i was unfortunate enough to graduate this may into the worst recession since the great depression As such im about 30K in debt from school loans, don't have any experience except a stupid library job, shelving books and doing other no skilled crap, couldn't get an internship and probably have a bad resume. I don't even have enough money to pay a professional resume service to write me one. I cant find a job in my field (aviation management) and any other field would result in me being miserable. To make things more humiliating i ve been turned down from stupid chimp positions at Target and other dead end level jobs, apparently im not qualified to stand around and put stuff on shelves in a store all day, like a moron. and no one will give me a chance in aviation or in a skilled decent paying entry level job...in short i cant get any job!!!!!! The only solution to defaulting on my loan and as such never again being able to get a job or get a place to live with wreaked credit from default student loans, seems to be suicide. Upon death the loan is forgiven....and since i seem to be unemployable, and my private university diploma apparently only being good as toilet paper, what choice do i have? I live with my mom, and if i default ill be there for ever? Im an atheist, and i don't care about my parents, in fact killing myself would release a huge financial burden. If society isn't going to give me a chance to be productive in any kind of job after i put in so much money and work to get educated why should i continue living? Those &*&^%'s cant get my money when dead? So this seems my only choice...is it? (please no touchy feely god crap, or family BS or cliched stuff) Also, whats the most effective relatively painless way to go?

The world will not be handed to you. Ever path has to start somewhere. These dead end jobs are a means to the way, so to speak. I did not attend college, but did take some jobs I was not thrilled about. You use these to build inroads and make connections. Now at 42, I have it made. Companies look at results more now than ever, not the level of education you have. So my advice is to start at a point, and build upward. If you feel like you have the ability, then show it. Corporations will not turn away those who generate income. Suicide is not your only option. It may take years...but you can come out of this eventually.

dude get your chit together 1 there is always a way to make money if worse comes to worse you have a degree go into the military in an aviation field. As for credit F the credit ive had a 0 score (no credit history) just jacks the he!! out of the interest you end up paying and got a job making 40k per yr+ until i got creamed on my bike one night. there are plenty of people who's credit is or will be trashed so that's not going to be a factor look on line for a free resume writer and check out the free sites that tell you how to not f it up. as for suicide there is no such thing as painless ive known a few that tried it and didn't get it right and seen a few that made it happen and the last look on their faces wasn't one of someone who went easy. dude you just need a little help talk to the local free clinics or someone to get your head back in the game get fin mad and make the system eat it !!! GL

Trust me, they'll take you in the military, what you say for reasons that you couldn't aren't very legitimate...even if, you could do administrative type work. I really think you just need more mental fortitude...quitters commit suicide, even the ones that had problems way worse than yours. Not meant to offend, just to incite some self-pride.
