Ghost Stories oh lovely Ghost stories...?
-
My mom, sister, sisters boyfriend, and my cousin and I are going out to a cottage, and we plan to tell ghost stories. My sister normally gets the best out of the stories, and I've been watching Are you afraid of the dark? I love horrifying stuff. I'm planning to do the same beginning, and ending 'Pleasant dreams family' or something like that. So can you give me a heads up about a story?

Answer:
A man was on his way to his parents house for Christmas and to ring in the new year. So he checks into a Bed and Breakfast he finds on his way there. When the woman at the front desk leads him up to his room, she tells him not to go in Room 24. The man was puzzled, but agreed. Later that night, the man was leaving to go to a restaurant down the street. As he shut his door, he glanced at Room 24, which was diagonally across from his room. Curiosity taking over, he glanced through the key hole. Inside, he saw a blonde haired woman wearing a long white dress. She was pale and sat on a window seat, looking out the window. The man dropped his room keys as he was shifting position, and the woman quickly disappeared from sight. The man then left and went to eat. When he got to his room, he once again was tempted by the mystery of Room 24. He decided to look through the keyhole again. This time, he didn't see anything but red. He came to the conclusion that the woman must have gotten frightened by his presence and put something red in the keyhole so that he couldn't peep anymore. Feeling guilty, he went back to his room and went to bed. The next day, the man checked out of his room. On the way out of the Bed and Breakfast, he saw the woman at the front desk and could not help but ask her why she told him to stay out of that room. After a long time of baggering from the man, the woman finally decided to tell him. "If you must know," she said. "There was a man and wife that used to own this house. In a drunken rage, the man killed his wife and then killed himself. But they were strange people, they were. They had extremely pale white skin, except for their eyes. Their eyes were a bright red."

I've got an urban legend. Kind of like a ghost story. It's called "The Clown Statue" There was once a girl named Amber who was 16 years of age. She was hired by a very rich family to babysit the kids whenever she was needed. One night, the parents decided to go to the movies and have a late dinner so they got her to come. The parents told Amber that at exactly 9 o'clock she was to put the kids in bed and if she was tired as well, she could sleep in the guest room a couple doors down. So at 9 o'clock, she tucked the kids in and proceeded to go into the guest room. She laid down on the bed and switched the tv on. Something out of the corner of her eye moved and she turned sharply in the direction. But she did not see anyone. Just a life size clown statue staring at her. She decided to ignore it since it was, well, only a clown statue. 10 minutes later and she's freaking out, so she decides to call up the parents. The parents answer with a nice hello and she asks them if she can cover up the clown statue because it's bothering her. The parents pause for a moment and say urgently, "Get the kids out of that house and call 911. No time to explain." and they hung up. Amber was confused but did as they told her. She went and got the first kid, but when she walked into the second kid's room, all she found was a bloody axe and the lifeless body of the second child. And then (pause) BAM! She was stranged to death by the clown statue. It turns out that the clown statue was, in fact, a homeless man who was in need of housing. He had managed to live off of their guest room because it was such a big house and he wouldn't be noticed. But when Amber was told to call the police, he panicked and killed everyone. OR! You can do this one. Once upon a time, there was an ugly barnacle. He was so ugly everyone died. The end"
Have you ever heard of the Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark series? The stories even tell the reader when they should pause and jump at those who are listening. You can read one of the books online here: http://www.scribd.com/doc/3027880/Alvin-Schwartz-Scary-Stories-to-Tell-in-the-Dark
"The Price" The story of a diluted teenager who watched his friend drown in a lake, due to some twisted jealousy. He gets away with it, but sometime after that he seems to be bothered constantly by flys and gnats buzzing around the corner of his eyes, and ears. It went on constantly for weeks driving him increasingly aloof/mad, others began to think that as they could not see anything, and begin to assume he is mentally ill. He finally loses control in an argument about this with his parents, and runs out of the house deep into the woods (at night), having no straight clue where he was going he slipped off a steep cliff with a rock bottom, not killing him, but paralyzing him, and leaving him to die slow and painfully as the sounds of flys weighed in on him. He couldn't scream, when heard people searching for him, they were so close, and he could only stare at the light touching down from there flaslights from above. He lets out tears from his eye as he hears there foot steps fade off into the distance of the cold night, he was never found. I just made this up. But you can re-word it if you like =)
