What should I do for an adventure?

I need a real adventure, what is your definition of a real adventure?

  • I'm not a teenager, and I'm done with school. I am told and also read the phrase "Life is an adventure" I understand that everyone struggles with the same boring routine thing. I get that, and I know all about the "your young, you got your whole life ahead of you and you just gotta stick with it and it'll get better" thing. seriously I get it. problem is I have Aspergers Syndrome and for those who don't know, it's a high functioning form of autism, this is generally is combined with other mental disabilities so I also have Turrets Syndrome, ADD, Bipolar Depression, and Insomnia, you could say my life is pretty troublesome, and in an economy with no jobs combined with the fact that there are very few jobs that would actually hire someone like me, it's hard to get by, and my life needs something so I came up with the conclusion that I need an adventure, "soul searching" if you will. I am a christian so I know God will help me in some way but as the saying goes "God doesn't help those who don't help themselves" that's why I need to go out there and see what the world has in store, but I need a few pointers, you know, a general direction on where to go, to make thinks easier, I won't go skydiving or rock-climbing, I have a terrible fear of heights, rafting and other sport related activities don't feel the quota either, I'm looking for something less stereotypical. Although I do have general idea on what I want to do, I want go exploring, not in places that have already been discovered, I'm looking for the "uncharted land and seas" kind of thing. I know it sounds kinda far-fetched, but that's part of my idea of an adventure and please be kind in your answers I'm being honest here not desperate. I figured this would be the only way to find my place in life, so I'd appreciate some suggestions on where to go from here, again please be kind in your answers please ignore the categories that this was listed under they don't have the ones I needed

  • Answer:

Head to the sea my lad. There be adventure o' plenty when ye find yerself at the water's edge, starin' at the edge o' the Earth. Find a willin' Cap'n who'll sign ye on as a crewman. Go sailin' 'round the globe, and come home with many a story ta tell.

To be totally honest, an adventure won't solve your problems with life. Especially if you want to go somewhere uncharted and explored, the entire world has been charted, graphed, recorded and exploited, there isn't anything new for humans to discover, but there is a lot for YOU to discover. If its travel you want, pick a place and research stuff to do there, don't make all your plans set in stone, have a little leeway for last minute activities. You could make a goal of travelling a certain country, continent, tasting all the wine in niagara, eating all the kinds of figs in greece, getting a tshirt from every american capital city... Find something that interests you and try it.
