Famous American folktales for drama presentation?

• In my drama class at school (I'm a freshman in high school) I have a huge project due soon. I was assigned to a group of me (I'm a girl), another girl, and a boy. I need an American folktale that I can film a video on, with my group and I as actors. We think it would be cool if we could do a silent movie thing so something that fit that would be ideal, but not necessary. It needs to be a legit American folktale (oral storytelling, that kinda stuff). I'm fine with doing a male part, but if possible, I'd like a female part (probably asking too much for that, though. So again, that's not necessary). Please try to find something soon!
