Can Flonase help clear up clogged ears?

Will Flonase help with clogged ears (from earwax)?

• Well for almost a week now, I haven't been able to hear out of my right ear from too much earwax. (gross I know) and it took two visits of getting it flushed out to hear again. Well she also did my left ear today and now I can't hear out of that one. She even said she can see it just clinging to my ear drum and she prescribed me Flonase and that if it doesn't fix it in a week or so then she'll send me to a specialist. I read that Flonase helps with clogged ears due to too much fluid, which isn't what's wrong with me, so will it still work? And why do I have to go to a specialist when my right ear fixed after the second visit? She said "maybe" shell try flushing it out again. Shouldn't you try that first before sending me somewhere? I don't know why I didn't ask her but I'm getting annoyed now. -_-

  No flonase won't help with wax but if there is some fluid behind the drum you are correct, it will help with that. You can also get an over the counter wax agent (debrox, cerumenx) and start doing that every day to soften & loosen the wax, give that a try before re-flushing.
