Is menstrual blood different than regular blood in your body?

How is blood made inside the body?

  • well this sounds like a simple enough, chemistry type of a question...or maybe biology. anyway i want to know how blood is made in the body, and how it is kept 'fresh' like, the blood you have now continues to circulate in your body throughout your whole life, unless you somehow unfortunately loose it, but i also want to know how when you are born, you have only a certain amount of blood in your infant body. but obviously the amount increases as you grow into an adult. so how is this blood made? (no stupid, simple answers please. only factual and accurate answers thankyou)

  • Answer:

2.4 million new erythrocytes are produced per second. The cells develop in the bone marrow and circulate for about 100–120 days in the body before their components are recycled by macrophages. Human erythrocytes are produced through a process named erythropoiesis, developing from committed stem cells to mature erythrocytes in about 7 days. When matured, these cells live in blood circulation for about 100 to 120 days. At the end of their lifespan, they become senescent, and are removed from circulation.
