Do i have to apply to medical school for crna?

Does it matter what school you choose when becoming a CRNA?

  • I am currently a Senior and I am planning on attending University of Toledo to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing for the next four year. As of right now, I have a 3.92 Cumulative GPA, not including current AP classes, and a low 20 score on the ACT. I plan on obtaining the BSN and become qualified as a RN and go into the ICU and get my 1-2 years in there and then pick a school to get my education into becoming a CRNA. However, I wanted to know, does it matter what school I pick when getting my education? Since University of Toledo doesn't have a CRNA program, I would have to find another school that does. Should I do that? I am most likely getting a free education there. Or should I attend a different school that offers both the RN and CRNA program? Does the pay differ from what school I graduate from? Thank you for all and any help!

  • Answer:

Pay does not differ depending upon which school you've graduated from. CRNA pay will be declining in years to come anyway. If youre doing it for the money, you may want to rethink things.
