How important are gcse grades when applying to good universities?

Which universities should I apply to for medicine with my grades and UKCAT score?

  • Hey I was wondering if it is still okay for me to do medicine because I really want to do it. I got an average of 615 in my ukcat however and my GCSE grades were 7 A's, 2 B's and a C. I got AAAB in my AS reults though. So what do you think my chances of getting into uni are? Are there any specific universities you would recommend me applying to with this? Thank you

  • Answer:

Our address is: Keele University, School of Medicine, Admissions Office, ... Will it help my application if I have 4 A-levels rather than 3? We score your best 3 A-level grades when we read your application, ... At Keele we do not use an absolute UKCAT score cut off point to select candidates for interview.
