    Union members vote by individual choice. The Teamsters don't always toe the line put forth by AFL-CIO. They can and have backed Non Democrats that went against AFL-CIO and the NDC Old Boy network. Teamsters have backed GOP, Libertarian and non partisan candidates. Being the largest voting block in the US and industrialized parts of Canada among unionized voters. Corporate Employees don't have a voice in who gets campaign money. That's the difference. Corporations can buy a candidate and have in the past. Unions can only influence legislation, they can't afford to match what corporations pay for the old geezers that spend 80 years in congress. The best Unions can do is tie up enough votes on the floor to keep corporations from turning the US into a third world country.

The idea is not to allowed our elected officials to become pawns of special interests, be that corporations, unions or individuals.

I wouldn't say it is bad doing it, but they often come with hidden strings attached. When politicians has to plead to big corporations for being able to run their campaign they have to in some way to "sell themselves", promiss them something or they are in some way in debt to that company. But again one cannot run an elections without any funds, and you automatically need to plead to them... So maybe one shoud start a question where one asks for a change in the way elections are run? trying to make it easier and cheaper for politicians to run?

You mean like Labor unions those type of corporations. I know your going to tell me they are not Incorporated, but they are the same as a corporation always looking out for them selves. They have a board of directors, a President, VP, and every thing a corporation has. The only real difference between the two is corporation involved in business produce something Union do not.

Corporation have to much influence with their money to change elections i want people elected for their ideas not the wealth behind them unions has a much less influential stance than what cooperations brings to the money pot also union consist of big groups of people's interest while cooperation my just have a board room or a CEO interest in mind and make a much bigger influence

Unions are collections of American workers...they have a common goal..Corporations are often foreign with no particuliar interest in the advancement of THIS country, and their political views are not representative of their workers...unlike Unions If Japanese autoworker unions were spending big bucks on campaigns here..THEN I would agree with you There are no American corporations anymore- thats the problem..just transcontinental ones

Corporation and Unions were treated the same way. Neither were allowed to form super pac nor contribute candidates before the Court ruling and now they both are. However they both influenced election before just not as much as they do now.

it isn't bad for anyone to spend money on campaigns it is bad for them to do it without being exposed publically or do you want the Chinese to buy a candidate and run the USA through a puppet?
