Does Obama know who creates jobs? And why they create them?

• Unless it's something like the CCC or WPA government does not create jobs for anyone but government. Only companies create jobs. With the exception of start-up companies, jobs are a barometer of how well a company is doing. And once start-up companies start sending product out the door they fall under this criteria also. When profits go up jobs increase. When they go down jobs decrease. If there is no profit for very long the jobs go away. Yes I know that's simplistic but I'm trying to keep this at a level Obama supporters can understand. The goal of any company is to turn a profit. But they don't want that profit lying around. They want it working just as hard as their machines and employees. If sales quanity goes up, profit from sales goes up what do you do with it? You reinvest it into the company in a variety of ways. You could hire more people to work sales? You could hire more people to make product. You could buy more machines. This keeps someone else employed. You buy more raw materials keeping someone else employed. You disburse some to the people who invested in the company. You might even pay out more benefits. Now who gets the increase and how much neither the POTUS nor the US Congress has control over. But my point is this. Taxes effect profits. Taxes go up wht will that do to the price? The price goes up. And in the end it's the consumer that pays those increased taxes. And that is you and me. Now because of increased prices sales will more than likely go down. Sales drop means profit drops. But you have to keep profits coming in or you die. What do you do? You start making cuts. First you cancel improvements and upgrades. This hurts someone job. Then you trim work force and reduce raw material purchases. This hurts some more jobs. Then you trim sales and admin. Why? Because you have to have profit to keep a business going. Maybe this is why Obama still says he's going to increase taxes on big businesses. He's a lawyer and a politician. Because he's a lawyer he doesn't know jack about business, Because he's a politican he's going to say what it takes to get elected. He's going to pander to get votes. Big or small, it's all the same. Businesses are going to have to turn a profit and sometimes the profit margin isn't large although the profit is. So even a little increase in taxes could make a big difference elsewhere. Obama likes to talk about big oil. But their profit margin is what they use to drill, repair existing facilities, build new pipelines, and build new refineries. Big oil could just say you jack with taxes and we won't drill any new wells. And our refineries need maintainance. But we know you still need gas so we're raising our prices. I have absolutly no connection with oil except that my car runs on gas. Obama may become President. But he had better consider who he wants to play hardball with. And Obama keeps bringing up the Great Depression. Well the President then jacked up taxes when the economy was going south then too. Who knows maybe we need a CPA Economst instead of a lawyer politician for President.
