Where was the architect Arthur Troyte Griffith born?

If Marco Rubio is not a naturalized citizen, and not a natural-born citizen, what kind of U.S. citizen is he?

  • Someone told me that Marco Rubio, who was born in the United States to Cuban citizens who hadn't been naturalized yet, cannot run for president as he is not a natural-born citizen. I do know that Marco Rubio is a U.S. citizen, but if he didn't gain his citizenship through naturalization, something his parents did, how did he gain it? Oh, wait, I know: by birth. You derive your U.S. citizenship via two ways: by birth or by naturalization. Why are birthers so ignorant and insane? 1. Vatel did not write the U.S. Constitution. 2. "The Law of Nations" was not translated into English until ten years after the ratification of the U.S. Constitution. 3. Chester A. Arthur was born to a father who was still a British citizen; yet, he became president. 4. Mike Dukakis ran for president and his parents were Greek citizens when he was born. 5. George McGovern ran for president and his mother was a Canadian citizen when he was born. Read the Constitution: it only mentions two types of citizens, not three. The Wong Kim Ark case was to determine if he was even a citizen at all of the U.S. Minor vs. Hapstett was about a woman's right to vote.

Yes, I know...

If you are born in the United States you are a natural born citizen regardless of who your parents were. The Constitution does not define the phrase natural-born citizen, and various opinions have been offered over time regarding its precise meaning. The Congressional Research Service has stated that the weight of scholarly legal and historical opinion indicates that the term means one who is entitled under the Constitution or laws of the United States to U.S. citizenship "at birth" or "by birth," including any child born "in" the United States, even to alien parents

He is a commie spy working for Castro.

You don't really seem to have a question that needs to be answered...

an undocumented citizen...

There are TWO ways to become a natural born citizen. 1. you can be born in the US, regardless of who your parents are. 2. you can be born outside the US if AT LEAST ONE of your parents is a citizen. The constitution ONLY mentions "natural born" citizens. Not two types. http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=a2ec6811264a3210VgnVCM100000b92ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=a2ec6811264a3210VgnVCM100000b92ca60aRCRD
