How come there isn't free health care in U.S?

If gay marriage and universal health care come to America, will there be any place left for real Americans?

  • I mean, where can we go? Everything that defined America will have disappeared. We vote, we protest, we tea party, we boycott, but we still seem to be heading towards gay marriage and universal health care. Gay marriage and health care are a violation of our freedom. I want America to be a free country. If this is our future and our fight is lost, where can we go? Europe is too liberal and socialistic; Canada is too liberal, and already has gay marriage and socialized medicine; Australia is too difficult to get into and they don't allow guns; Asian languages are too hard and the people are too foreign; Africa's too poor and Latin America's too poor. What's left for us? I want my America back!

    A free country means free for everyone. Nobody will ever force you to marry somebody of your same gender if you don't want to, but you have no right to prevent anyone else from doing so if THEY want to. THAT's what American freedom is.

How is gay marriage a violation of freedom? Seems like outlawing it is a violation of freedom. I'm a conservative, and I'm all for freedom. Universal Health Care IS a violation of freedom. I oppose it. But I don't see how the federal govt has the right to tell states who it can and cannot allow to marry. Re: marriage, the role of the fed govt, it seems to me, is to recognize legal marriages legally performed in the states. Other than that, I really don't care what any prez candidate has to say on the subject.

Somalia is conservative paradise... no taxes, no government, no welfare. Enjoy it. And just to be clear... if you do not like what the majority of Americans want and except the things that the rightful government is doing YOU are not the "real" American. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. 70% of Americans have already said they WANT universal healthcare... Obamacare is not universal healthcare. The majority of Americans will ALSO approve gay marriage as all the old bigots die off. The younger generations worry less about someone else's sex life.
