How many TAXPAYERS will it take to pay for 0bama's 400,000 census takers?

Less than you think. According to recent stories, there are only about 100,000 actual jobs, but they've been fired and rehired an average of 4 times each to inflate the results of the stimulus.

Only 50,000 jobs have been produced from private sector. That's pitiful! 400,000 jobs are also temporary and the 9.7% will go back to over 10% when the money runs out.

You conservatives are such hypocrites when it comes to the Constitution. You insist that the country start "following the Constitution" but criticize the President for fulfilling one of the Constitutional mandates because you don't like it. The Census is a constitutionally mandated function of the government, if you really support the Constitution then what is the problem with spending money to fulfill the mandate.

Partisan rants do little to make points, they just make you seem a silly partisan, which any sane person laughs at and most people will disregard any statement you make. A president, any president is not in direct control of the census. The census is mandated by the Constitution and no president can alter that. This isn't Obama's census, it is the government's.

Have the cake and try and eat it too is the mentality of views similar to this one. People are complaining about the joblessness so CONGRESS, not Obama, puts people to work doing the census and we complain about people working? Come on now, which is it going to be because one way or another taxpayer dollars will give people food and shelter. If EVERYONE LIVING IN THE UNITED STATES had sent their mail-back census form in, there would be NO necessity to hire thousands of people to walk door-to-door to interview people who forgot; misplaced theirs; thought it was too complicated; couldn't find a pencil; let the baby or the dog eat it; used it for a place-mat; used it to light their barbecue; etc. Many people I've met have claimed that they sent theirs in already. Those are probably the ones who put it into the envelope backwards so the giant barcode didn't show through the plastic window, and whose census form will end up in the dead-letter office of the USPS, and since they are fully confidential, they can't be opened to fix or reverse the form. Those irretrievable forms will eventually end up in that giant warehouse full or wooden crates seen at the end of the movie "Raiders of the Lost Ark", to sit there, locked away, for the rest of eternity. The budget for the 2010 census was already being planned right after the 2000 census. The budget for the 2020 census will begin to be planned January 1, 2011.

The Census is not discretionary spending. It is required by the U.S. Constitution. So it's not Obama's 400,000 census takers.
