Leftists if capitalism is so bad why do you use it's products?

Perhaps your assumption that most "Leftists" are socialists / communists is incorrect (to much listening to Rush / Fox News). Very few Democrats and/or "Leftists" (as you call them) want a pure socialist / communist regime. The U.S. operates a mixed economy. The difference between Republicans & Democrats is that Republicans seem to prefer to want a return to laissez faire capitalism while Democrats prefer the mixed economy that has driven us since way before you were born. That Democrats prefer to add a few more regulations to control problems with unregulated business does not mean they are socialists / communists in nature. Edit: "In Germany the workers, through the Unions, help run the car companies, yet they still make cars better cars than in Capitalist America" Every BMW, Volvo, Mercedes, Audi, SAAB etc. I have run across has been one big stinking pile of POS that requires a significant investment to keep it running. That people buy them is basically a way of saying "look at me, I'm a stuck up retard who lots of money to blow on a pos." Sorry, I'd go Asian, America & then European (with American automobiles catching up to Asian). That people like "European" autos is out of some misguided notions.

Not at all. Socialist Europe has all those things. In Germany the workers, through the Unions, help run the car companies, yet they still make cars better cars than in Capitalist America, and they make a profit. And believe it or not, they are able to do this with workers living in homes, not cardboard boxes and eating descent food, not out of dumpsters. Yet the capitalist American car companies say unless they can pay workers so little, they would be in poverty, they cant figure out how to turn a profit. People in the Soviet Union had cars and cloths, and TVs. They were by no means wealthy, but don't act like no one had anything. You still have to live in the world you are in while you try to make it better.

Look at the excuses... there is no alternative.... we have to... and the best of all... there is no socialist stores! Here is the way socalists! Sell your i pods... sell your x boxes... disconnect your cable... shut your main breaker off to your house about 2 to 3 hours a day to mirror what it's like in a socialist country and their electrical grid. It's amazing that the people that are so against capitalism have so many luxuries like I phones, blackberries, high def TV... and yet talk down capitalism. Talk about hypocritical. These people that hate Capitalism enjoy it's benifits every single day. It's like cussing your car when it takes you safely to work.

Nobody has a problem with the ideas behind capitalism. They have a problem when corporations or people abuse it. For instance, cheap oil is great, but what happens when corporations get greedy and cut corners and spill boat loads into the gulf for three months? Should the government step in and regulate or just let companies wipe their hands clean and walk away from the problems they cause? How about when 4 of the top 10 richest people in the world are all Walmart heirs, but Walmart won't shell out for health insurance for its employees? Should that raise a red flag that something is wrong? The problem is that pure capitalism assumes people are angels - but we aren't, so it needs some help. And I bet you enjoy your clean air and water that you drink. Tree hugging lefties played a small part in that. Or do you only drink water from reservoirs that were poisoned by some of your more ambitious capitalist friends? As far as boycotting big companies - most people that can, do. And let's not forget that all those fancy tvs and clothes were made in communist China anyway. But that's besides the point. Take your "lefties hate capitalism and the USA" somewhere else please. It's total rubbish.

its because they are plastic lefties - lefties with no real substance, it just makes them sound better in the college common room take the UK, all the lefties say they hate the UKs history and empirical past but without that past there would be no free NHS, no free education - something used by everyone including the lefties - if they were really convinced of their rhetoric they would PAY for their medical treatment and education see how quiet they become when you ask them to do that or theyll go and smash a window at mcdonalds

They use the products because we allow them to get a paycheck from our taxes and the amounts borrowed by our inept government. Toxicputah- Look where that mixed economy has lead us, time for a real change and not more of the same old crap!
