Who are the most important "liberals" in America?

Do liberals think Obama can bring in a Clinton pre-9/11 America to a Post-9/11 world?

  • In an age of Mumbai and the prorogation of terrorism, with Chavez getting super weapon technology from Russia, and a new Russian KGB communistic cold-war era beginning....where Iran is about to be nuclear armed.... Liberals constantly talk about how good we had it under clinton (even though we had an internet bubble in place), and Obama's selection of the Clinton team as hope that America will go back to the 90's. Do liberals actually think America is going to go back to the 90's to a time before 9/11? This is a serious question. Do liberals actually think Obama can change the world to a pre-911 state? Do liberals actually think that because Bush is gone, and Obama frees all the jihadists in Gitmo, that all the terrorisists world wide are going to be happy with the US and usher in world peace? Seriously....do liberals expect Obama to return America to the 90's? And when (not "if", but "when") that does not happen, will Obama be shunned by the same left wing nuts that worshiped him or will they make excuses for him and retroactively blame Bush again?

More spam ranting by you. There is no such thing as a "post 9-11 world", we live in the same damn world no matter how Fox and the Bush Admin try to spin it. "Everything changed" is another favorite excuse to spend $$ slogan that i reject outright. Everytime i hear this crap i start checking the news for the next Right wing "security" proposal.. ...mandatory I.D. skin implants for all..etc. You need to ask yourself.. I don't mean to sound insensitive, but thousands and thousands of terrible events have occurred throughout the course of history, and they didn't all change everything about the world forever. It's just getting caught up in the furor to suggest everything has completely changed, and all that's old, ie, diplomacy, must be abandoned. An open ended excuse to justify anything. Ex. Domestic wiretapping, are you kidding? It's a post 911 world, buddy, accept it I don't think so

Yep, maybe not entirely, but we'll get back on the track that leads us there. we got over pearl harbor. we'll get over this. It will be ancient history someday and will NOT continue to dictate life forever. WHAT may prove to be the lasting effects is the power you fear mongers have relinquished to government without question. Now THATS scary.

Somehow you fail to credit Clinton for rescuing america from Bush I. Now you are trying to blame Obama for the disaster created by Dubya. Liberals are looking forward with hope, conservatives are looking around for someone to blame.

I do not think Obama will return us to the '90s. I don't think we can ever go back in time no matter how Liberal the president is. We cannot go to a time before 9/11. I believe we can find a president who can direct us onto a more promising path than the one that we have been following the past eight years. But I think you've answered your own question by your little rant. Its not the Liberals, it's the Conservatives such as yourself that think that. It would do you some good to quit generalizing.
