Should we make Obama our first King?

Seriously, after 8 years of Bush, we need a guarantee that someone that bad won't get elected again. Obama is going to bring change, so we should just make him our King until he passes. Then, we can pass the throne onto his son who should be well learned in the ways of Obama by then. This is the perfect solution. No more stuff for nuts like Oreilly and Rush to talk about. Obama can equalize our wealth amongst all creating true EQUALITY. Those of us whos ancestors were black and held as slaves can be repayed for their hardships. We can all get free stuff (homes, healthcare, food, etc.) and become more like Europe. This is a perfect time to make America a place we can finally be proud of! Lets not **#@ it up!!!! Obama is bringing the change. Embrace it! Obama 2009-2017+ ! **** No racist comments. Progressive answers only, please! ****

how is monarchy progressive? If anything, it would be recessive for our country. It goes against everything this country stands for. Think about it, why would we work so hard to establish democracies around the world if we were secret monarchists? Monarchies are an antiquated form of government. Passing the throne to one's son is also a bad idea. In every case of monarchy ever, the heirs have almost always been bad. Democracy is better because the best candidate is allowed to run the country, and they are under pressure to keep the people happy because reelection is always 4 years away. What we need to do is educate the voters so they won't vote a third Bush into office.

Sure if you'd like to throw away the Constitution, the Decleration of Independance, and well pretty much everything our country stands for. We don't have a monarchy and hopefully we'll never get one.

In case you haven't heard, we are a democratic society. What you are describing sounds more like Socialism. Move out of the terrible US and you should be quite happy.
