Which language would be the best for middle tier?

What is the best Middle-Eastern language to learn to be a Middle-Eastern Language Aid in the Army?

  • I have about 6 months till I will be enlisting, and I see there is a $20,000 enlistment bonus for entering as a language aid for Middle-Eastern languages. What language do I need to know? I was thinking Arabic? I'm an not familiar with languages, or culture in Iraq and other countries over there so I would like to learn. It nothing else its just something to keep me busy as I exercise to get in shape to enlist in May. I was thinking of getting Rosetta Stone Arabic. Its $250 though, so I don't want to buy it if its not going to be useful to me. I used to have a few Arabic friends and their language I always thought was beautiful. I would love to learn it, but I will hold off if its not going to help me when I enlist. Anyone have any ideas?

  • Answer:

There is no way you are going to become a Language expert in 6 months. Learning a foreign language takes years to learn. Not something you can over night. But yea Arabic would the language that you would need to learn. You can also try Farsi because that is the language Iranians speak
