Can I re-take the AS-VAB test?

I got only 35 in my ASVAB test for the Army, can i retake it? or what are the options for me?

  • They told me i can't take it again, damn! i've heard that the only thing they have for people w/ that score is infantry, it was my first time doing it!!!! the recruiter is telling me to do the paper work right away but i'm not sure, i really wanted to join to the Army but with that poor score there are not many options for me. What else i can get? can i avoid to join to that branch? i didn't sign any contract yet?

    Infantry. Anything else is too expensive to waste on someone so stupid. You can retake it, its highly unlikely you'll score more then a few points in either direction, and the wait is 30 days first time, and then 6 months.

You can retake it over and over. There is a time limit between test, but I don't know the time period. Don't be pressured by the recruiter to 'hurry up and sign.'

If your recuriter is pressuring you to sign papers and saying you cant do the ASVAB again, than leave him and find someone else. I believe though, you'll have to wait awhile to take it again.
