How much money does an Ordinary Seaman make?

How much money will I get for basic training and tech training in Air Force Reserve? Thinking about joining..?

  • I have so many questions. Anyone in the Air Force Reserve or any other reserve branches feel free to give me any and ALL info. I have several military friends but I guess I just want to hear from others. Im interested in a medical career. Are their many open in the AF? Whats the chances of me being in Public Health? Would I be able to be deployed after tech? How often would I have the chance to do assignments and make money? Travel? Ive done TONS of research but commentary from veterans and such would def help out. I would also like info on all areas of the military including what branch would be best. Thanks:) -Wannabe Airman, Guardsperson, or Seaman. lol

    1. You are paid the same as active duty while in basic and tech school, -- $1,399 per month 2. What jobs are available ? that depends on what jobs the closest reserve unit has on their manning chart.

If you go to "Military.COM, they have pay charts which can answer some of your questions. You can also go and talk to recruiters. They can give you updated answers. We old retired guys don't have all the updated answers. Thanks for wanting to serve.
