What all can i put in a care package to send to basic?

envelopes, writing tools, stamps, a wallet size decent photo, and a calling card any food, the DI's usually makes him eat it all right there, then they work off the calories by making him do push-ups, or they have him give all the food to everyone else but him. My GF sent me some of my color drawing pencils one time, the DI's made me open the box in front of them, they asked if I was an Artist... then they had me paint the entire barracks all by myself... It was worth it, I got to keep my pencils

You are wasting money as they cannot receive "care packages" send a letter, that's it

Just send letters, stamps, a phone card, maybe a couple of pictures of you. He will let you know if anything else is allowed but normally it is discouraged. Send anything "special" and your fiance will get "special" treatment and it will probably just get locked up with civilian gear or thrown away anyway. My mother sent me maxi pads mainly to annoy me because she is a Veteran herself and she knew the drill: you do push ups for packages, and you have to open anything that is a package in front of the Drill Sergeants. A lot of push ups and then some embarrassment. On the plus side, the Drill Sergeant was a LOT more embarrassed than I was. Thanks, Mom. :)
