Did you ever get a tattoo removed?

Is there a way to tell if i will be accepted into the military before i get my tattoo removed?

  • so i want to join the military (Marines to be exact) and i have a tattoo on my wrist that has to go. i love my tattoo but i love my precious Marine Corps more so its no problem to remove it. i just want to know if theres a way i can be certain that i'd be accepted into the DEP before actually removing my tattoo because i would hate to remove it and them for some unknown medical condition or something else terrible of that sort that i would be turned away and ive already spend 100's of dollars on removing my tattoo.

  • Answer:

no. you cannot even begin the enlistment process until the tatt is removed. best a recruiter NIGHT do for you is let you take a Practice ASVAB in his office to get a general feel of whether or not you qualify academically. but you will not go tot MEPS until the tatt is removed time to grow up and decide if a little ink is worth it.

Oooooor, just a though bro, but there's always The Army, The Navy, etc. They'll most likely take you unless that's an offensive tattoo. You could always process through MEPS through them. Think about it.

Yeah, just go talk to a recruiter. That easy.
