What is a recruiter and how do I find one?

Should i lie to the u.s marine recruiter?

  • hi i really wanna be in the marines and the only problem is my med history. i was diagnosed with adhd when i was 5 and when i was 12 they said i wasnt and in fact that i was bi polar ... but the test i took that said that was 450 questions!!!! and i was 12 at the time a so i didnt feel like siting their so i filled in anything. i didnt take meds for it and i only get mad when some one disrespects me and i dont flip out i just argue. so alot of people tell me to lie to the recruiter and that they did. what questions does the recruiter ask you as for as your medical history goes and how can they find out . BTW i dont know what i want to be in yet either the marine infintry or the army infintry

Having ADHD does not limit your chances of being enlisted or recruited.

you guys should stop harassing people you know what the guy means. infintry? big deal i can easily read it and i know what he means he just spelled it wrong. that doesnt mean he shouldnt serve. Anyways man you shouldnt lie just explain your situation as far as the bi polar goes but the adhd goes as long as you havent been on medication in a year you should be fine. GOOD LUCK

I would just keep my mouth shut.

Infantry, Marines !!! Work on improving your English language skills, too !!! stay civilian !

The current policy stands that you can be disanosed with adhd or add before the age of 13 and still join the army, now the marines are a different thing all together.I know plenty of people that have add in army but they told the recruiter and the recruiter told them it wasent a problem and dident file it on the paperwork. Also ask a private in a infantry unit before you join to be infantry because a private knows what messed up things happen to privates and most likely you will be a private too so yea.I dont know if you can call a unit and ask that question but if i could have i would have asked why everything is so unnecessarily needed and made some complicated and difficult.I wish someone would have told me how much it was going to suck even after basic training,Not in the fact of doing my MOS but in the idea of me being repeatedly screwed on my workdays,There is no specific time they have to let you off,its when ever they feel like it.You could be sitting in a company for hours, just sitting and not have anything to do and they say you cant leave because you havent been offically dismissed, just saying alot of stuff in the army is a little misconstrued.I am not in any way diswaying you from joining the army or any branch of service all i am telling you is what me and other soldiers have experenced.Hope i helped.
