How can I become an Airforce pilot?

I really want to become a pilot for the Airforce and I want to know a little more about how to become one. I know all the basic requirements in becoming an Airforce pilot but I want to know what they really look at to become a pilot. Im a freshmen in highschool and im in JROTC and I plan to stay in it for 4 years. Im also in honors language arts and honors biology and im also in algebra 2, and my GPA right now is a 3.8. I plan to take AP clases too. My main plan after highschool is to go to the Airforce Academy to become an officer to hopefully become a pilot. I really want to know what I can do now to prepare and help myself for the future and i also was wondering the chances to become a pilot? Sorry I know its alot but I just want to be aware....Thank you

Only Air Force Officers are able to pilot aircraft. Apply for an ROTC/USAFA scholarship, and compete against the thousands of other cadets for aviation slots. JROTC means nothing, really. High school is only important getting you into college, nothing you can do in high school will help you become a pilot. And even while in college, a pilot slot is never guaranteed. You must compete for it, and your mission set is all dependent on budgets and DoD policy. By the time you reach the point you're able to even put a slot on your wishlist, they may only have 200 pilot slots available. Chances? 200 out of 6000. If you're lucky.
