Where did the first US parade take place?

After the first Gulf War there was a big parade in NY. In the 2nd War, that did not take place this time, WHY?

  • They was a big parade for U.S. troops in NY celebrating from the 1991 Gulf War. In the 2nd War, this did not take place this time. Why is that?

  • Answer:

Because it didn't end the same way. When would you have had the parade? When Bush said "Mission Accomplished?" When they captured Saddam? When Saddam was executed? When the last few troops left last month?

Iraq is "over"...soldiers are still in Kuwait in case there is a flare up. Also, we are still fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan so there is no reason for a big celebration.

Perhaps because many of the service men and women came home at about the same time. In this most recent war men and women have been deployed and returned all through out the war.
