What are jobs in the marines?

What are some good jobs to consider instead of joining the Marines?

  • My boyfriend has a medical condition that wont allow him to join the Marines. It was his dream, and ever since he found out about it he has been crushed. He wanted to join to make a difference in someones life and to help out people. Ive given him many other ideas such as Fire Fighter, EMT ect... Does anyone have any advice I could give to him, or maybe an idea of another job some what similar. Thanks!

    Long as hes not in it for the money. Be a firefighter. He will be a volunteer for a while. After school of course.

If he has a medical condition that kept him out of the Marines, he probably won't make it as a firefighter either. There are alot of ways to help people without the stereotypical careers that are prone to hero worship usually by those wanting to join.

Private security (contractors, not rent-a-cops) comes pretty close, depending on your job within the company.
