How do I calculate my GPA?

How does Army ROTC calculate GPA?

  • I'm a graduate student looking to join Army ROTC. How does ROTC calculate GPA for career selections or scholarships? Someone told me that as a graduate student, ROTC will just look at my graduate school GPA. Is that true? Or will they look at my Undergraduate grades and/or my high school grades as well?

  • Answer:

They will look at your cumulative grdauate school GPA. They will not look at your undergrad work. A 4.0 = 1000 points.

While you will have to submit all of your transcripts, from high school to the point in which you are now, they will only consider your current gpa. I know this because I went through rotc after going through a community college. Fortunately my high school grades did not weigh into my scholarship application as I had a 3.7 gpa in college and one I do not care to mention for high school.
